We are Children of God

God is my Father. I am not claiming to be the Son of God, our Savior Jesus Christ. God has adopted me by the blood of my Savior and because of His great mercy, grace, and flowing love I am His. In my life at this time the dreams that my Father has shared with me are unfolding. Being created to be in His image, we dream for our children and my Father is no different. The evidence of His touch on my life has nothing to do with my place in this world, and has everything to do with my place in His kingdom. My Father’s kingdom exist right now and His Son, Jesus Christ, is on the throne of that kingdom. But when the New City of Peace is established, the Prince of Peace and King of kings will rule with the King of Peace.

My Father gave me a new name, not the one written on a stone, but one breathed by His own breath. The name is Shalom Bethel. Shalom after my Brother the Prince of Peace and Bethel after the body of our Lord, the true Church. The name Shalom was given first in prayer and the name Bethel later during a spiritual battle. It is not that I am anything special or great; it is that our God, my Father (and yours), is something great and He tends to His own.

By God’s grace, I have been adopted by blood and conceived by the Holy Spirit into the Family of God. The Family has many siblings and a great many more to come. There is a need for servants of God – ministers of the faith, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is for such a time as these. God is our Father and He has called us into the body of His Son Jesus Christ for such a time as these. Those who have gone on before us, are waiting before us and not behind us. What they have left for us is the future and not the past. The only deed of the past that can save us now is the Cross of our Lord. Even our Lord has gone on before us, is with us in our now, and waits in our future and not our past.

Faith proclaimed is a stronghold for God. Proclaim your place in the Family of God. Ask Him to speak your name. Proclaim your faith by blood and by Spirit and your baptism by water and by fire. You were born of flesh from your mother’s womb and of God by the conception of the Holy Spirit. Our seed is the word of God and the word of God is Jesus Christ. As it was in the beginning, the Word was with God and the word was God. And the Word manifested in the flesh and lived among us, and we saw His glory as of the only begotten of the Father, filled with grace and truth (see John 1:14). By the blood of the begotten, we are adopted. By the One born by the conception of the Holy Spirit, we are children of God.
