Whom Shall I Send

Her rock is not the Lord
Her savior sells on the street
“She is living in a different hell,
One of her own creation” they say
She’ll say, “The devil is in da pipe”
As she asks for another light
That is not her righteousness

She is a child of God
That hasn’t found her way home
One of the sheep without a shepherd
Lord, why is no one seeking to find
Isn’t she a one another
And a sister of our Brother
The Lord said, “Whom shall I send”

A cross hangs from one ear
Another tattooed on his arm
Just above the cut he has made
To try and make the pain go away
His prayer is, “Please let me die”
His heart is saying “Can anyone
Give me a reason to live”

He is a child of God
That hasn’t found his way home
One of the sheep without a shepherd
Lord, why is no one seeking to find
Isn’t he a one another
And a brother of our Brother
The Lord said, “Whom shall I send”

A Bible in one hand
I make my way to the pew
Just in time to open with prayer
Then sing of how much I love Jesus
Drop a dollar in a passing plate
Rushing out, trying not to be late
Another Sunday, guess I’m saved

We are children of God
That haven’t found our way home
A flock of sheep without the shepherd
Lord, why is no one seeking to find
Aren’t we the one another
Aren’t we siblings of our Brother
The Lord said, “Father I will go”
