Sunflowers in My Eyes

(Intro)
The Love of God
flows from the anointing
of Jesus in my soul, in my soul

(Somewhere in the middle)
Finding myself lost
without a reason
Finding myself, I’m lost
Kneeling to find a flower
Trampled on the ground
Rejected by the builders
Of this passing world
I cry out, “Abba Father”

(And) The Love of God
flows from the anointing
of Jesus in my soul, in my soul
Rain clouds build up
And water starts to flow
From the sunflowers in my eyes

(In His loving arms)
Finding my Lord here
Where He’s always been
Finding my Lord, I’m here
Rising to find Him standing
up inside of me
Calling all men unto Him
Praising the Father
I cry out, “Abba Father”

(Then) The Love of God
flows from the anointing
of Jesus in my soul, in my soul
Rain clouds build up
And water starts to flow
From the sunflowers in my eyes

(Ending)
The Love of God
flows from the anointing
of Jesus in my soul, in my soul
His Love builds up
The Spirit starts to flow
From the sunflowers in my eyes

“The Reason” I serve Jesus Christ.
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
(Luke 4:18 and Isaiah 61:1-2)
