Love may seem to be a stranger
When coming without understanding
Of where he comes from and where he flows
For a man to speak with words of love
Towards another, be they female or male
It is counted to him as being self seeking
Love for what he may gain from his words
Love is viewed as what I need to fill
The needs and desires of my mortal flesh
Viewed from the spirit I am also need and desire
But the needs and desires are not of me
Not the one of reflected light that you see
Led by the spirit the needs and desire change
The flesh still longs for the things of flesh
But the spirit’s needs and desires are outward
Where serving turns from serving self
My needs and desires follow the serving
When I delight myself in the Lord God
He can grant the cravings of my open heart
Because the openness is filled with Him
In that way I can say, to man or woman,
“I love you,” and love not be mortal
For the serving spirit, love is eternal
