Heal the Multitude

The LORD is good beyond our understanding
Beyond the things that we can ask or hope for
I asked the LORD for a heart that could feel
In place of the stone that filled the emptiness
He has granted me more heart than I can know

Jesus had compassion and healed the multitude
My soul rises up within me as I watch them die
Another man’s tears run from my watching eyes
Walking among other voices, I hear only their cries
From the darkness that can never really hide

How was it for our LORD of lords when He was here
How could it have been for the glory of heavenly Light
To have walked among the children of God His Father
Children in darkness refusing the Light of heaven
That climbed up on Calvary Hill to be seen by all

LORD be strong that I might overcome my weakness
Shine from a new beating heart that is fully Yours
Do not let a basket cover the new love You have given
Let my tears mingle with Your cleansing Blood
And Your compassion flow from my trembling hands

The days of the wicked draw to a end as time itself ends
LORD, call out to the wicked and turn their ways to You
Release the imprisoned heart from the chest of mankind
Let our ribs no longer be prison bars for the love of God
LORD, have compassion and heal the multitude
