The LORD has taken my heart
My flag has come down
And His banner is raised
His faith resists the darts
His Word protects and corrects
He has conquered my soul
His compassion heals the breach
His Spirit comes to teach
The truth brings comfort to my ears
And understanding to the lost
The truth breaks the lie that binds
Capturing captivity and setting me free
Binding evil in chains of darkness
And releasing the light of righteousness
Not because of the one that’s me
But for the manifold grace of God
