LORD, You are my Shepherd. Have I need of another? Should I want a Shepherd other than the Son of my creator? Should I seek a pasture other than the one created for me by my God? Should I drink from any other water than the Living Water of God’s Word – His Son whom restores my soul and leads me in righteousness for His name sake? Where can I walk that You have not walked? Even in death I cannot go where you have not gone. What evil shall I fear, if You are with me even in death? Your Spirit and the Spirit of the One that sent You comforts me. If I stay within the reach of Your rod and Your staff, you will protect me. You feed me before my enemies and while in their midst, You anoint me and set me aside for Your purpose. The vessel You created is overfilled with Your presence. As my Shepherd, You go before me. As goodness and mercy, You follow me. All my days are filled with You. In Bethel I will dwell forever. W here my Shepherd is there I will also be.
