A leper came to our Lord
And Jesus healed the unclean
Jesus touched the untouchable
A centurion’s love for his servant
Moved our Lord to compassion
Towards the slave of a Roman soldier
And Jesus invited gentiles to the feast
The capturer of Israel found favor
With the King of kings, our Lord
And his servant was healed
A blind man was given sight
And the darkness became light
A woman’s fever was cast off
Immediately she began to serve
Who am I that the same grace of God
Cannot reach into the heart and heal
Praise God, the Lord healed my heart
What heart is in you that the Lord
Cannot reach and bring into life
The Son of Man kissed by a friend
Was taken and became accursed
Battered and beaten by all of us
Put upon a tree to be seen as dead
Mocked by the title of King, our Jesus
Who is there that has drawn breath
That has title or name above our King
What past deed can hang upon mankind
That did not come down into the grave
The Son of God came out of the tomb
Death did not hold on to the Love of God
The earth He created yields to the Spirit
Baptized in the blood He poured for us
Into the cup He passed and said, “Drink”
Who is there under the penalty of death
That cannot be in the Body that lives
What heart can deny the flow of blood
God so loved the world, love one another
