I Said, He Said

I said, “Come near to me,
my Lord that I might hear You.”
He said, “Come near to me,
that you may hear our Father.”
I said, “Dwell within me,
my Lord that I might know You.”
He said, “Dwell within Me,
that you might know our Father.”

He said, “My Spirit I send,
that you might have understanding.
My peace I leave with you,
and you will know that I am God.”
He said, “I call you brother,
That you will know we have a Father.
My brother, I call you friend,
And I am with you to the end.”

I said, “Abba in heaven,
my Lord that You have sent me,
said I can use His name,
and come to You without fear.”
I said, “Glory to God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Purity in my heart
Showing me the face of God.”

He said, “Take your broken wings,
lean on me and you will fly.
I’ll pick up your broken heart,
and teach you to love again.”
He said, “Your knees will bow,
and your soul I will mend.”
Go you into this world,
and teach the gospel of life.”

I said, “Yes and amen,
and thank You Lord Jesus,
For being everything,
anyone could ever need.”
He said, “Glory to God,
My Father that sends us all.”
He said, “Glory to God,
My Father that sends us all.”
