There is so much about God that we do not know. The human wants to know and we make up so much and call it God and we listen as others tell us what is not God. We have to get past the human into the Spirit to know that we do not know God and seek Him in an attempt to really know Him. We want to list facts about God or attributes of God and say, “That is God. I know Him.” NO! Until the Spirit shows us God, all we really have is a prejudice about who God is. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). See what Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” “And He said, ‘Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father'” (John 6:65). “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” (John 14:16). That covers all of God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The Father grants one to Jesus and Jesus is the Way to the Father. The Father sends the Holy Spirit in answer to Jesus’ request to the Father. To know God we must go to God, but how?

God is already with us. God created man and walked with Him in the garden. We turned our back on God, He did not leave us. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). Jesus promised “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18). How do we get back to God? Believe that He is God. Believe that He sent His Son. Believe that Jesus is the Christ. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead. Believe that He is God and believe Him.

Adam did not believe God and took it upon himself to believe Satan. The choice between right and wrong – the choice to decide what is right and wrong for yourself – is to believe Satan. Noah believed God and built the ark. Abraham believed God and it was counted as righteousness to him. Jesus obeyed God and it became righteousness for all of mankind that will believe that He is God. But Jesus said, “no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” The Father has granted Jesus to mankind as a man to live and die as a man and to be risen as our Lord and King – as God. Do you believe that God is God? Do you believe that Jesus is God, the Son of our Father God? Do you believe that the Holy Spirit is God and from God the Father and the Son? Do you believe God!?

Listen closely and you will hear the voice of the Lord calling you back to the Father. You will know that the Holy Spirit has been sent by the Father and the Son has been granted to you to bring you to the Father. God came to the earth as man to bring man back to Himself. The Holy Spirit comes to the earth to bring man back to Himself. No longer can I settle for stories of who God is; I need to know God and not just know about Him. Are you hungry to know God and thirsty for His Word, the Living Water – Jesus the Christ. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). “And Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst'” (John 6:35). Believe God!

God does not make it hard to know Him. He came to us so that we could know Him. God came and died as a man and rose again so we could know Him – to bring us to Himself. He is “the way, the truth, and the life.” He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is Life. Believe Him. Talk to Him and listen to Him and believe. Get to know God personally. Know Him and not things about Him. Once you believe that Jesus is God, you must believe Him. Hear and obey His voice. “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you” (John 15:16). BELIEVE!!!
