God is the One that called me here
The One that knew me in the womb
The One that lived three days in the tomb
God is the One that called my name
He is the One that sends the rain
On the just and the unjust just the same

God is the One that freed my soul
The One with a plan to prosper
The One that can see into my heart
God is the One that sent His Own
To teach us each and every one
How to love our enemy like a son

Now don’t tempt me to follow you
The way the serpent did Adam
Cause you are not the one that died for me
It’s not your word that sets me free
Or stops the darts of the enemy
Or lifts the veil that blinded for so long

God is the One that comes to me
When I am hiding in the rocks
And speaks to me with a small still voice
God is the One that called my name
He is the One that eased my pain
He is the One that will always remain
