I Believe in Miracles

Over the summer, I was burning scraps of wood leftover from past projects and yard debris in a burning barrel. The fire had been burning for a while and the barrel was hot. Walking towards the barrel, I stumbled and fell towards the fire. I know it was only for a brief moment, but I was playing different scenarios over in my head. It appeared that I was going to hit the barrel with my face. I reasoned that I could push of the barrel with my hands to protect my face. Could I use just one hand or would that not give me enough distance? As the thoughts were running through my head, I shouted out, “Help me Lord!” I felt hands, made out of a blast of wind, grab me and stand me upright.

It is time for those of us who have experienced miracles to share. I cannot tell you the theology of what I believed or did not believe when I asked for the Lord’s help. Cannot tell who will believe or who will try to explain it away calling it a fable. There was no one else around, so there is no one else to share the story except the spirit that came to my rescue. I am not special, except that we are all special to the creator of the universe. I only asked the Lord for help, so I can only thank the Lord for helping.
