Love is a play
Act one, they meet
She reads his poems
To he, and he believes
She feels the words
Written on the page
Act two, consummation
She adds touching
To smiling, in summation
And accusations to friendship
In answer to the words
Act three, the tragedy
The wind has blown
The pages from her view
She recalls a word or two
He can no longer believe
Acting for, epithet forgotten
The reading of his will
Not the feelings
Not the knowing
She finds the dancing dream
Epilog, curtains close
The crowds leave
He lives
Happily
Ever after
