There is so much more God
Than mankind can hope or dream
In our narrow minded schemes
We teach what we think we believe
And preach whatever gets them to their feet

We’re not lost but are we found
Or are we still somewhere along the way
Looking for some common ground
Where we can wrap our mind around
A God who would die to set us free

Early in the morning up comes the sun
To change our darkness into light
And make an end of a long restless night
Can we see the Light shining from heaven above
That filled the earth before there was time

Lord, help my eyes to see a new day
Where Your mercies are daily renewed
Were you rise up to meet us
Even if it means coming down to show
That being exalted is a proper state of mind

Lord, help me walk in Your grace
And show my faith by Your good works
Let all men be liars and You Lord be the truth
Your grace shining through the new day
As Your desire that none should perish
