There was a time and that is how it starts
It is like, “Once upon a time” but different
Upon has past and we desire her to return
There was is a way to explain no more
Without sharing our own interest in time
Was that worth writing then or reading now
Maybe, may we continue and see if it can be
Once upon there was a beautiful young girl
That we wish was still young and beautiful
There was a time when she wished so too
As time passes so did she and no more wishes
No days and no years can be added or taken
No more does time take away her beauty
And each day makes her image in our heart
Grow in beauty and fondness is without end
There was a time when I loved without doubt
Once upon a time when my heart was new
And knew not about the loss of love and heart
Once I believed without the voices of unbelief
There was a time when nothing changed me
Nor changed knowing who and what I believed
Once I was changed but believing remained
But the voice of disbelief is loud and harsh
And will not stop until you are no longer sure
It sounds like the voice of an angry woman
That life has harmed to the point of where hurt
Becomes the anger that is all we know of her
Without seeing her beauty she starts to fade away
Until there is no more once upon left in her days
All that remains is lost, but there was a time
There was a time when I could cry and tears came
There was a time when I wanted to know why
There was a time when it mattered that she hurt
There was a time when my heart had a heart
There was a time when my love was without reason
There was a time when there was a time
There was a time when it all came to an end
There was a time when the air could not hold her
There was a time when life came crashing down
But there was a time has passed and there is none
As time passes so did she and no more wishes
No days and no years can be added or taken
No more does time take away her beauty
And each day makes her image in our heart
Grow in beauty and fondness is without end
