Love lost to the blind lust of being without thought
Thinking therefore I am images of towering grandeur
Unmistakably watching the I without seeing the other
It is my passion that creates the wave I ride into loss
BUT, love seeing the other and creating a united swell
Pulls me from the hell that dragged me down into myself
Thoughts of another lead my spirit out of the flesh
Finding the spirit in the words of a living giving sacrifice
Understanding that the words are from the Word of love
The Word of God walking into the realm of mankind
And daring to speak the truth into the reality of the blind
Those made sightless by the lies see truth in the new light
Those lost in the kingdom of flesh join in the new fight
And are found to be whole in the kingdom of creation
Not perfect in their customs but righteous by salvation
Not by their actions or deeds but by another taking their place
Not by death only but by resurrection and through grace
Not by the law but by the death of the lawgiver that lives
Not the taking of transgressions but forgiveness that gives
Love won by giving and grace given and penalties paid
All transgressions were gathered and at His feet were laid
He lifted His eyes to heaven and said, “Father forgive them.”
Shepherds shall no longer feed themselves from God’s lamb.
The Father has given to us a new shepherd to tend the flock
The I Am, the Alpha and Omega and our Savior and Rock
Prince of Peace, Lord of lords, King of kings and God’s Word
His promise is the promise of the Father and the spirit I heard
He who cannot lie has said it will be so and so it will be
Even those things we cannot understand and those we cannot see
They are true around us each day as true as the air we breath
In Him are all that was created even the life that we possess
Be thankful and praise the name that forgives and gives life
Call on the name and give thanks to God for Jesus our Christ
