The fire that is coming is the love of God – God so loved the world that He gave us everything – God so loved the world that He gave us dominion – God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son. God so loved the world that He gave us that He gave His Son authority. God so loved the world that He gave us His Holy Spirit to minister to us the things of God. The first rain was a powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit. Then the bishops came along and denied the authority that Jesus gave to world that God so loved – they claimed the right to the accession of the Apostles – denied the guiding of the Holy Spirit – choosing to adopt the tradition of man as the doctrines of Christ. Without the Holy Spirit you have not the capacity to understand the love that sent His only begotten Son to all of us, so all you have left is man’s reason to guide you. The fire that is coming is the love of God.
“I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will” (Acts 13:22). Now as the ark of the LORD came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart (2 Samuel 6:16). Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!” (2 Samuel 6:20). Michal is mentioned as Saul’s daughter; she was the daughter of a traditional king. Tradition despises the fire of God, the Holy Spirit. She felt that David’s display was not acting as a mature king would act. But God said David was a man after His own heart. Michal lost her right to be at David’s side and another woman’s child became king of Israel and passed on the promised seed of the Savior.
The two commandments that Jesus said are the greatest are both love. The new commandment Jesus gave us is to love. The new wine is the love of God – the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Love suffers long (longsuffering) and is kind (kindness); love does not envy (peace); love does not parade itself (self-control), is not puffed up (self-control); does not behave rudely (goodness / kindness), does not seek its own (self-control), is not provoked (peace), thinks no evil (goodness); does not rejoice in iniquity (goodness), but rejoices in the truth (joy); bears all things (longsuffering / gentleness), believes all things (faithfulness), hopes all things (faithfulness), endures all things (longsuffering). The Holy Spirit is a consuming fire that will burn away the things of the flesh, leaving only the fruit of the Spirit, LOVE. The fire that is coming is the love of God.
