You Believe In Me

Do you believe in dreams, or
Reality while you sleep
Even while you’re awake
And after or in between
My, my, such a state to be in
Still, I believe that you believe in me

Ask a man about a job he had
He said, I like what you say
And I like who you are
But the cut of your hair
We are looking for new ideas
From someone that looks like me
I said, I believe if you want my ideas
Then you must want me

Do you believe in pouring rain
Reaching for the sunshine
Etching a sun in the clouds
And rainbows in between
My life and the way it should be
Still, I believe that you believe in me

Ask my boss if I could do my job
He said maybe later, do this now
Walk the dog, bring in the morning paper
Make me coffee and we’ll talk later
About why it didn’t get done
Get it while it’s hot, go on now run
I said, I believe your not sure what to do
If you let us help, maybe we do

Do you believe it waits for you
Raining until you want
Entering the morning sun
As you walk into the day
My, My, is it that way
Still, I believe that you believe in me

Do you believe in me
Really, or do I believe in you
Even after the pouring rain
As you walk by, rainbows fly
My, My, such a state to be in
Still, I believe that you believe in me.
