I can wait for the promise of the Father
I can eagerly wait for righteousness by faith
I can wait for the coming of the Lord
I can wait on You all day and all night
But I cannot wait for Your love

Without Your love, I cannot have breath
Without Your love, I do not have life for living
Without Your love, I do not have forgiveness
Dwelling inside of my heart for my brothers
For Your love sent my Savior to me

Wait on the Lord and be exalted to inherit
the earth and all that is contained there in
Wait for Your counsel, for it is my strength
Wait for the Lord and in His word have hope
Wait, I say wait on the Lord

Your love anoints me with the oil of gladness
With Your love, now hope does not disappoint
And Your love towards us is rich in mercies
Without Your love I am less than nothing
For Your love sent my Savior to me
