It Is Done

My heart was made a stone
By my belief in God’s absents
And unbelief in my own rebellion
My heart was of one mind against God
To hide the selfish pain I brought
My heart became like solid rock
The Word of God, the Son of God
Spoke to my heart and it split open
The heart was then of two minds
The mind of the flesh and of Jesus
The Word of God, living waters
Flowed from the gap in the rock
Forgiveness was given and grace received
The Spirit of Jesus came and set me free
Mercy and forgiveness made me His
The Spirit of the Father made me whole
The Word, the Living Water, flows
The Blood pouring out upon the whole world
He who came by water and blood brought grace
From the Father, Word and Spirit to us
In this the love of God is manifested
His Son is the payment in full for our sins
The heart that the Word had rent into
The Spirit of the Father is making one
One in Spirit, one in Word, one in love
As I look to the cross of our Lord Jesus
His lips move and in His voice “It is done”
As I look upon Jesus on the throne
In His glory, with God, He is God and it is done

Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.” So Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?” And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!” And the LORD said to Moses, “Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not” (Exodus 17:-7)?

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” So Moses took the rod from before the LORD as He commanded him. And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” This was the water of Meribah, because the children of Israel contended with the LORD, and He was hallowed among them (Numbers 20:7-13).

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you (Romans 8:9-11).

This is He who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one (1 John 5:5-7).

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 4:9-10).

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit (John 19:30).
