God’s timing. Some people talk a lot about God’s timing. What does that mean? And what about God’s will? People talk as much or more about God’s will as God’s timing. What does that mean? If it is God’s time and God’s will then you will be born, what if it is not? What if it is His will that your parents have a child but not His time? What if it is not His will or time? Are you living, in God’s eyes? Are you then fated for failure? Does your mother abort you? Are you not conceived?
Is everyone born in God’s time and will? If you give to a parentless child or a widow and it was not God’s time, is the gift wasted or is it always God’s time and will to give and share? What of the freewill that is a God given gift? Was it given to us so that we would use it and fail? Were we given freewill so God could break us like a rodeo horse?
In the rodeo, horses are kept wild and induced to buck against the rider. Has God given to us freewill to ride us in a rodeo? Are we entertainment for God? We try and we fail. We try and we have success and get pride and fail. It seems to me that if we do all things to God, give Him the praise, then we are in His will. If we do the same things and boast of our own worth then we are not in His will.
Then there is the Holy Spirit that guides us. If we listen to the Spirit and follow it then we are in God’s will. If we buck against the spirit then we are not in His will. If God put us here then isn’t it His time for us? If He knows our heart then is there time for our will? Do we align our will with the will of God, or is the desire of our heart that He gives us His will?
If Jesus sets us free and we will to do God’s will isn’t it freewill? Is it not our freewill that accepts Jesus by the gift of faith? And if we choose not to do His will are we not, being born in His time and will, still in His will? Do we have to do His will for His will to be all around us? No. Satan has led man not to see of the will of God. Can we be in His time and not His will? God did not make us to buck. It is our willingness not to see bucking against Him that makes us act like rodeo horses.
But is all that really getting to the heart of the message of the kingdom of God? It is the will of God that we are not lost and He sent Jesus to show us the Way. If we are on the earth, then we are here at God’s time but may not be able to see His will for us. Isn’t that faith, not seeing yet believing? When Jesus returned to the Father’s right hand, He sent to earth a Comforter and Teacher that is the Holy Spirit. That Spirit is sent to all that confess their need for and belief in Jesus Christ and the Spirit leads them to the Mind of Christ – the Will of God in their life.
When someone says to you that a prayer was not answered because it was not God’s will or His timing. Tell them you live in God’s will and His time for you and that the prayer has been answered, but the results have not yet manifested. If a child is ill and you pray for the child and it dies. God did answer the prayer. The child is no longer ill. But you wanted the child to live in this life and be with you. Okay, be in the kingdom of God with the child forever. There is still pain in this life. God could have saved His Son from the cross, but He did not so that all His children would have the chance to come home. Do not make the cross disappear from your life because a prayer was answered differently than your expectation.
We are not here as entertainment for God. We are children of God waiting to be born into His kingdom. We are the seed of our Father God and planted in the earth. The world turned its back on God and Jesus came to turn it back around. All those that believed Jesus would come and us that believe that Jesus has come know that He came for us that we might live in God’s will, in Him. But we must turn to Him of our own freewill. The message of our Lord was not strange or complicated. Give the glory for the gifts in our lives to our Father God (love God) and love one another, as Jesus have loved you love one another.
All things are created by and belong to God and are gifts in our lives. Give glory to God. Love one another. Cherish and help one another. We are always in God’s time; it is our choice to see His will. It is His will that we love and care for one another. It is His desire that none should perish.
