How do you talk to a man of God
Who is sure that he is not sure
How do you help him find the passion
After he has found the cure
That no one wants to hear
How do you tell a man of God
That life is happening and he must too
Even if there is no one else listening
The choir must sing, the band must play
The sun shines even if we are not
Ready to meet the new day
How do you find a man of God
In a field of weeds and thatch
Is he the one pulling the weeds
Or the one planting new seeds
Or maybe the one down on his knees
How do you forgive a man of God
When you find that he is a man
He doesn’t have all the answers
He can only point you to the hand
Of the Lord waiting to lift you up
Waiting to take away the pain
How do you believe a man of God
That is himself so very weak
Who talks awful bold, being so meek
Do you trust in him or in the Lord
That he himself must lean on
How do you love a Man of God
Seeking more than what he can see
Trying to understand the one that is I Am
When it sometimes blinds him
To the one inside of you and your needs
How do you see a man of God
When he’s down on bent knees
Is he praying for forgiveness
Or for someone else and their needs
Could the answer be in between
How do you talk to a man of God
That is so sure that he is not sure
He knows God has called him
He knows God is in his life
He’s just not so sure what he’s doing
Or how to answer the Lord calling
How do you pray for a man of God
Hopefully everyday, he needs you
To be down on your knees praying
For the Lord to help him see
Then get up and share your company
