For I Desire Mercy and Not Sacrifice

Let us take a moment and look at what we have read, been taught and have tried to understand from our youth. Everyone we meet, that has taken time to read, has a different understanding. Even the beginning of this thing we choose to call life is not understood. Some say Jesus is and was the Word of God and it was by the word that all was created. Others hold that there was already in existence the universe and that a portion of it was laid waist by a war between the Angels. In the beginning the universe was created and later the Word recreated the earth and the earth’s heavens. In the beginning an Angel, name Lucifer, was over the earth. Lucifer wanted to be God and in his heart set himself opposite God. One third of the Angels followed him into battle against God and this portion of the universe was made waist. The Word was then sent to bring up mortal things upon the earth.

Let us now look at the dichotomy that developed. Lucifer, once light, became darkness and is called Satan the devil and Beelzebub. The Word created mortal life on earth and ministered to the life called human. The devil also ministered and sin was born in the human. Greed and self-importance became the main drive of humanity. The spirit of Satan ruled over humans. Some of us can be God without joining God, without being of God, if we make ourselves lords over the meek and weak. The Word became man in the form of Jesus. Jesus walked the earth and taught of forgiveness and mercy and in an act of sacrifice showed humans the way out of the cycle of greed.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus, we can all become part of the Christ. We can all be part of the Word. We can all be part of God. But if we follow greed into self-importance and try to be God without being of God, we are part of the darkness. In the end, it can be the beginning. We being part of the Word that creates us, the Word becomes part of us, and then we part of It. Or, we can become part of the third that makes war with the Angels in an attempt to overthrow the Word and be God. Has it already been or is it going to be, or both. In the end, it can be a new beginning or the one that already has been.

But what has any of that to do with our lives. We live to get by. We hear of the wars, but no one person is enough to stop them. If we do not live the life of greed we become the victims of it; we become sacrifices to the god of greed. Even those that minister Christ to us have become servants to greed and preach of the rewards of sacrifice being the fulfillment of greed. Sin is a trap and guilt is used to get us to ante-up payment for prayers and forgiveness that never comes. Laws are increased so that sin is increased and no one knows forgiveness or mercy. If any teach you any other doctrine than that delivered by Jesus, turn from them and pray for them. Love God and love one another was His message; forgiveness was His cause. For I desire mercy and not sacrifice.
