If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen (1 Peter 4:11).
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles (utterance – spoken word) of God; speak with authority – speak life bringing truth – do not lie. If anyone ministers (serves), do so with the ability which God supplies; don’t try to be someone else, use what God gave you to be what God created you to be. Do that so God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. Glory is “very great praise” and dominion is the “right of governing.” To Jesus belong very great praise and the right to govern forever and ever. Jesus owns the glory (very great praise) and dominion (right to govern) for an eternity. God has the right to determine what we do and to get the glory for all that we do. God has the right to distribute abilities according to His purpose for our life and to receive praise for the abilities we have been given.
Father, My Father, to whom all glory and dominion belong; it is You Father that has given glory and dominion to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Father grant to us, Your children, the strength to give glory to where You have given glory and dominion to where You have given dominion. Grant to us a clear understanding of the abilities that You have supplied to each and every one of us for Your glory. Teach us how to be servants and how to use our abilities to support the dominion that You have given to our Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus name we dwell and in His name we pray. Amen.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1 Peter 4:10).
