God put into all of His children’s hearts the seed of love. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22-23a). The seed of love is God’s own Holy Spirit. God the Father walked with Adam. Jesus the Son walked the earth as a man. The Holy Spirit is sent to those that believe and is the seed of love planted into God’s children. God puts the dream into us all. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). God gives us the desires of our heart (our dreams) – God puts the desire into our heart, plants the seed.
King David had the desire in his heart for the kingdom of God. The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips (Psalm 21:1-3). What is our salvation, if it is not the kingdom of God? Jesus came teaching the kingdom of God and has sent us into the world to proclaim the same kingdom – the Gospel. Jesus started the Church by sending twelve men into the world.
The world systems has taken the seed within the heart of men and caused it to be dormant. As young children, men are taught not to feel the blossoming love – the emotion that comes with the Holy Spirit. Love is not just a feeling, but feelings are part of love. Also, within the Church, we have restrained the hearts of men. We have taken the “self-control” part of the fruit and made it “self-imprisonment” of our hearts. Self-control is one man and one woman. Self-control is waiting on the Lord. Self-control is not denying the seed of love, the Holy Spirit. Jesus was the most compassionate human to every live and He lived as a man.
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:27-29). Men, don’t leave it up to women to plant the seed. “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God” (Luke 8:11). The seed is Jesus Christ. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:1,14). What is it that we believe. That Jesus is the Son of God and that He died to give to us salvation (the kingdom of God). Once we are baptized into Christ, we are all one in Christ Jesus.
It is time that we, the Church, stop being a house divided. We have to stop dividing over issues of male and female. We have to stop being divided over issues of Jew or Greek (law vs. grace). We have to stop being divided over slave or free (under law vs. under grace). We have to stop being divided over the doctrines of men that bind the hearts. The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD (Luke 4:18-19).
