All my life I have met people who believe in God, who cannot believe in religion’s ideas of God. They cannot resolve humankind’s ideas of church. Ideas so differing as to create strife and break into factions. Everyone shouting, “Don’t lean on your own understanding,” and proclaiming their own understanding; insisting that an all knowing all powerful God only works like “I” understand God to work. God’s ways are more than humankind’s understanding, and simpler than the jigsaw puzzles of humankind’s religions.

The question I am asked the most is, “Where is the love and the freedom accompanied by grace?” I believe we can only know by living, loving, and forgiving. We live so entangled in the knowledge of good and evil it is only through faith we can know (not knowing, experience and believe). Words, understood through good and evil, cannot express what the heart believes. I can only say, God in Christ Jesus reconciles us by grace to God in Christ while we are still entangled in the knowledge of good and evil. That is saved by grace through faith. Faith given to us by the grace of God.
